After ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhie Bahu thi’ if there is any other show which is close to my heart, then it is ‘Pavitra Rishta’… All I can say about the new show is that is it’s a very passionate story of love,” Ekta said in a statement.

Star Plus’ new program Ishq Kills is a reality based show that will reenact love based crimes in India. The show is based on true events that have happened around us. Statistics suggest that most crimes in India are done for two reasons – money and love. Ishq Kills will be the first show to highlight crimes that take place when love is involved. Frankly, there is no dearth of crime based shows in Hindi GECs – Crime Petrol, Savdhaan India, Gumraah etc… but wethinks the show will be hatke, more polished and will have well known actors from tellyland. The promo showcases a story about a married man sleeping with his housekeeper. He professes his love to her and she says, ‘prove it’. When he asks how, she replies ‘kill memsaab’. Ouch! We wish the new show the best hope it climbs the TRP charts.
